# Board level templates in item level automation

By default, DocExport doesn't show board-level templates in item-level automation triggers. Item-level triggers, such as "Status change," are related to the item on which the automation is triggered.  

To avoid any confusion, it's deactivated by default.

However, if you need it for a specific use case, you can activate it.

## How to enable "Board-level templates can be used in item-level automations"

1. Open your monday.com board and open the DocExport App View.
2. Select **'Settings' (⚙️)**and go to **'App Settings'.**\
   ***Note:** The first time you open App Settings, the Pricing page may appear. Simply close it and click 'App Settings' again.*
3. Scroll down to the **'Advanced settings'** section.
4. Enable the option **'Board level recipes can be used in item level monday automations'**.
5. Click on 'Save'
6. Once enabled, the board-level templates should show up when setting up an automation.
